In Creutzwald, a French city in the northeast bordering Germany, we carried out a significant urban lighting redevelopment project. The initiative was driven by the municipality's need to reduce light pollution and adopt a more environmentally friendly solution that enhances energy efficiency without compromising light quality. Replacing traditional street lighting fixtures with LED solutions allowed these goals to be achieved, improving urban lighting and ensuring significant economic savings for the entire community.
The relamping project in Creutzwald involved the installation of approximately 650 Eidos fixtures, an innovative street lighting solution that combines superior performance, advanced connectivity, and a reduced ecological footprint.
One of the main features of the new luminaires is the 2700K LED color temperature, designed to provide a more natural and less invasive light compared to previous sources, often characterized by a more yellow and disturbing tone. This improvement ensures optimal visibility, preserves the visual comfort of residents, and enhances nighttime perception of urban spaces.
Additionally, the Eidos luminaires were designed to eliminate light spillover, significantly reducing light pollution and contributing to more sustainable lighting.
