Born out of the need to create a fully connected product, Eidos is equipped with a new, patented power supply and connection system, that enables easy connection to smart city remote control systems, eliminating the need for additional devices. The Eidos optical platform is the result of an extensive journey by the Research & Development team, which worked on the design of a portfolio of optics capable of ensuring maximum efficiency.
The advanced and optimized geometries of the new optical portfolio allow maximum recovery of stray light, enabling higher performance in a more compact size and paving the way for a new standard in street lighting.
Eidos has been designed with an eco-by-design approach, combining the highest lighting quality with a significant reduction in environmental impact.
With Eidos, made with 85% recycled materials and 89% recyclable, GDS Lighting is committed to reducing waste and ensuring the conscious use of resources. With a Carbon Footprint of only 16.5 kg of CO2 equivalent (upstream and core phases in size S), the product exceeds quality standards, confirming the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
Eidos is available in 3 sizes – Small, Medium and Large – with a range from 1,200 to 24,000 Lumens. In particular, the dimensions of the S size are even smaller than the market standard, and this makes the luminaire suitable for different application contexts while ensuring a low environmental impact.
Eidos has also been designed with the aim of reducing and integrating its components for easier installation and maintenance.
